As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS), Military & Family Life Counselor (MFLC), Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), and holder of a B.S. in Health & Fitness Specialist, I offer a whole-person, integrated approach to healing. I'm also a combat veteran who knows firsthand the pain, isolation, and uncertainty that come with trauma, disability, and major life transitions. I’ve felt stuck, lost purpose, and fought to rebuild. Through the same services I now offer—counseling, rehabilitation, fitness, and career support—I reclaimed my life. Now, it’s my mission to help others do the same.
I received my Master of Social Work from East Carolina University and have been practicing as a therapist for 11 years. I believe the foundation of effective therapy lies in a strong therapeutic relationship- one built on trust, openness, and authenticity. I am known for my open-minded, nonjudgmental, and creative approach, helping my clients feel understood and supported as we work together toward growth and healing.
I have been practicing with ages 6-72 for over 20 years. I have four children, 3 grandchildren and a great grand baby. My happy place is the beach!
Sheena Rymer, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), received a Master's Degree in Social Work from Valdosta State University in May 2014 and a clinical license in Social Work in September 2019. During that time, she interned and worked at Miller Counseling Services, Pruitt Nursing Home, Mountain Education Charter School, and Fannin County School System. She facilitated groups; provided care consultations and coordinated services for clients both admitted and discharged from the nursing home; and provided individual counseling services. Moreover, Sheena has over five years experience in crisis intervention. Sheena is an active member of School Social Work Association of America (SSWAA), Fannin Children's Fund (FCF), and Social Workers Action Group (SWAG).
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a background in school counseling and emotional wellness support for children, teens, and adults. I work with clients navigating anxiety, stress, ADHD, life transitions, identity development, and family or relationship challenges. I aim to create a space where clients feel safe, understood, and supported. I value collaboration and use an integrative approach to tailor therapy to each person's needs, strengths, and goals.
A little about me: I’ve always been passionate about supporting women through life’s toughest and most transformative moments. Before becoming a PMHNP, I spent years working in healthcare roles that centered on compassion, connection, and advocacy. Those experiences shaped my belief that women deserve a safe space to be heard, validated, and supported without judgment.
I earned my Master of Science in Nursing and specialized training as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, allowing me to blend both medical and therapeutic approaches. Over time, I discovered how powerful it is when women can receive therapy and medication management from the same provider... someone who knows them well and sees the full picture. That’s a core part of what inspired us to create The Circle.
On a personal level, I understand what it feels like to carry a lot, to show up for others while struggling privately, and to wonder if things will ever feel lighter. Those experiences guide my approach every day. I lead with empathy, curiosity, and a genuine desire to understand your story.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I believe that prioritizing mental health is extremely important as we navigate the rigors of everyday life. Seeking help can be one of the hardest parts, so congratulations on taking that step! I’ve been practicing for 5 years. I received my Bachelor's degree from Elizabeth City State University in Criminal Justice and my Masters of Social Work from North Carolina Central University. I look forward to working with you!
