Welcome! This journey of life is full of challenges and no one needs to walk it alone. I specialize in treating children, adolescents, and adults who seek healing from trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, dysfunctional family patterns, relationships, life experiences, or disruptions in everyday functioning. However you found your way here, if you want some thing better for your life, let's work together to find you relief.
Hi, I'm Amanda, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of RIVE Counseling. I support women who are feeling emotionally overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but privately struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, relationship stress, or feeling disconnected from themselves. My goal is to create a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and start making sense of what you've been carrying.
I have been in the field about 20 years, starting out as a musician providing music therapy, I went on to become licensed as a professional counselor. I have worked in mental health and addictions treatment outpatient counseling, providing care to individuals, couples, and families in-office and over telehealth, with college students as a campus counselor, created parenting classes and workshops to support and empower individuals to practice self-care and create healthier home and work places.
I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy to adolescents, adults, seniors, couples, and families for 23 years. I understand that life has many challenges and maintaining our mental health through our struggles can lead to stability & emotional fulfillment. Reaching out for help during difficult times is courageous, so thank you for taking this first step.
