My name is Chemenda, I am a licensed mental health counselor. I work with clients from a variety of background. My clients struggle with mental health and relationship issues. I work with my clients to develop their coping and interpersonal skills as well as rebuilding relationships.
I’m a marriage and family therapist who helps individuals and couples navigate the complexities of relationships—whether that’s improving communication, rebuilding trust, or finding clarity during times of change. I help people make sense of their relationships—when things feel confusing, distant, or stuck. I support clients in building healthy patterns that lead to meaningful, resilient connections My goal is to help people create stronger, more authentic connections with themselves and others.
I became credentialed by the State of Florida as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2018. In 2016, I received my Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Florida State University and before that obtained my bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Central Florida in 2012. I have extensive experience working with at risk populations and I am knowledgeable of Central Florida community resources. I am most comfortable working with Client’s who have experienced severe trauma, are coping through grief, experiencing symptoms of depression and/or anxiety, and practice LGBTQ affirmative therapy. Being born in Panama City, Panama, I am proficient in Spanish and English and enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family during my time off.
