Hello! I am a Columbia-trained and Columbia-affiliated psychiatrist who specializes in psychodynamic psychotherapy.
I began my psychiatric nursing career after graduating from Columbia University School of Nursing in 2009. Several years later, I pursued an advanced practice degree, also at Columbia University, and earned a PhD. I lived in Poland and France before I arrived to the United States at the turn of this century. Given my international experience, I work in three languages: English, French, and Polish. I offer therapy and medication management and the clients and me decide on the best approach.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and DNP with graduate degrees from Molloy University. I have experience working with adolescents and adults facing various complex mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, stress, panic disorders, grief, and relationships concerns, in multiple settings.
With 15 years of extensive psychiatric nursing experience, I specialize in compassionate and personalized medication management for individuals aged 16 through geriatrics. I am deeply committed to supporting mental health and overall well-being across a broad spectrum of conditions. Are you looking for a supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered in your care? I’m a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I work with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, mood and personality disorders, substance use, life transitions, and psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on meeting you where you are. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my pets, doing animal rescue and wildlife rehabilitation, and being outdoors to recharge and stay grounded.
With the use of therapy or medication I can treat you or your child so that impairments can be identified and the ability to function more easily is achieved.
My training allows me to diagnose and give treatment recommendations based on my assessment which consists of an evaluation gathering personal history, psychosocial and environmental stressors, and symptom review. I can help you understand the diagnosis and determine the cause of the difficulty with the use of medication or psychotherapy.
I am a double Board Certified Psychiatrist with Specialty Fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I completed my Adult Residency Training and Child and Adolescent Fellowship training at North Shore Long Island Jewish Hospital affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2009 and 2011 respectively.
