Hi, I’m Wendy Agyapong, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a background in nursing and a passion for helping adults navigate depression, anxiety, and life’s daily stressors. I completed my master’s in nursing and have years of experience supporting individuals on their mental health journeys. I am passionate about helping women as they navigate the complex intersection of mental health and hormonal well-being. Many of my clients come to me during pivotal life stages—pregnancy, postpartum, menopause—or while managing conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), premenstrual dysmorphic disorder (PMDD), or other endocrine imbalances. These challenges can bring emotional struggles such as anxiety, depression, or mood swings, often leaving women feeling disconnected and overwhelmed.

Originally from Portugal, he completed medical school and began training in neurology before moving to the United States. He earned a Ph.D. in neuroscience and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Southern California (USC). He has also taught at colleges and universities, an experience he deeply values.

Dr. Araujo completed psychiatric training to pursue his passion: helping adults in California manage their mental health challenges.
